Wildlife Education & Conservation in the Heart of Yellowstone Country

The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit wildlife park and educational facility located in West Yellowstone, Montana, just one block from the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Accredited by the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) for more than two decades, the Center offers visitors of all ages the rare opportunity to see live grizzly bears, gray wolves, river otters, birds of prey, and other native species while learning about wildlife ecology and conservation principles in an engaging, family-friendly setting.

At the Center, many of the animals are rescued ambassadors — individuals who cannot survive in the wild due to injury, habituation, or other circumstances. Through thoughtfully designed habitats, interpretive exhibits, and dynamic programs, guests gain a deeper understanding of how these iconic Yellowstone species live, interact, and play vital roles in the broader ecosystem.

The Discovery Center is open 365 days a year, with admission valid for two consecutive days, allowing visitors to explore both indoor and outdoor exhibits at their own pace. Highlights include Keeper Kids activities, bear safety demonstrations, wolf pack chats, and the immersive Banks of the Yellowstone River Otter Exhibit — all crafted to inspire curiosity, stewardship, and respect for wildlife.

As a cherished member of the local tourism and conservation community, the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center helps connect residents and travelers alike to the natural wonders of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem while supporting education and responsible wildlife coexistence.
