Something for Every Rider

Gentle horses for gentle riders, spirited horses for spirited riders, and everything in between — the Haviland team takes the time to make sure every guest feels comfortable, confident, and excited before they hit the trail. Riders must be 8 years old or older to participate in horseback rides.

Tour Options & Pricing

Haviland's offers flexible ride options to fit your schedule and sense of adventure. A one-hour horseback ride ($55) is perfect for families and first-timers who want to soak in the scenery without committing to a full afternoon, while the two-hour ride ($95) lets you go deeper into the landscape and truly settle into the rhythm of the trail. Wagon rides are also available and are a wonderful option for younger children or guests who prefer to enjoy the scenery from a comfortable seat — call for pricing and availability. Kids' camps ($150) offer a more immersive experience for young equestrians, combining horsemanship skills with outdoor fun in one of the most beautiful natural settings in Eastern Idaho.

Located at 3489 Green Canyon Road in Island Park, Haviland's Old West Adventures operates within and adjacent to Harriman State Park — a stunning 16,000-acre preserve along the Henry's Fork of the Snake River, renowned for its wildlife, wildflower meadows, and miles of trails winding through lodgepole pine forests. Season & Hours

The regular season runs from May 23 through mid-September, Monday through Saturday. Spots fill up fast during peak summer months, so booking ahead is strongly encouraged.
