Through my involvement in the Ashton Chamber of Commerce, I caught wind that Island Park was looking to remodel their website. I cold-called Collette Rinehart who had already started looking at companies to do the job. After showing her some of my work, we met up, and I must have passed her vetting because I was awarded the job. The website project is funded by a generous grant from Yellowstone-Teton Territory.
Collette also passed on responsibilities for managing the summer and winter trail map projects. Using the e-commerce functionality of the website I was already creating, existing tools the chamber had at its disposal, such as Square, and setting up new tools like Mailchimp and Google WorkSpace, I was able to develop a system that streamlined the sales process. From communicating with Forest Service and Parks and Rec about map changes, to ad sales and artwork, to working with our great printer, QuickPrint, I am working hard to make sure these projects go smoothly.
Recently, I was nominated to the board, then appointed treasurer. I have never served as a treasurer before, but I do use QuickBooks Online to manage my business books (WMD Solutions) and feel that I can help develop the effectiveness of this awesome tool in many aspect of chamber administrative tasks. My access to QBO is a huge benefit to streamlining map ad sales as well.
Even though I live in Ashton, my band, Lines and Tines, plays in Island Park often. I grew up playing and causing mischief in Island Park and love the area. In fact, my band is always talking about how much we love all of Fremont County.
